A good, simple Pecan Pie recipe is necessary for our family’s major holidays.

There are a ton of pecan pie recipes available. This one my mother made is simple to make and more importantly, turns out the same way each and every time you bake it.

To Make:

In a large mixing bowl, cream 1/4 cup of margarine with 1/2 cup of sugar.

Add the cup of light corn syrup in a steady stream with the 1/4 teaspoon salt and mix it at medium speed (4-5).

Add in the 3 large eggs, one at a time, and beat until it is creamy for 3-4 minutes.

Mix in the cup of pecans. Pour it into your uncooked pastry shell and bake it at 350 degrees for one hour. I like to check it by wiggling it and making sure the middle doesn’t move.

Enjoy!
